How the application process works

Every funded application follows the same six stages. You are notified by email at each stage and can check your progress at any time using your reference number.

    Application submitted

    You complete the online form and receive your reference number by email.

  2. 2

    Documents uploaded

    Upload what you have now, or come back later with your reference number to add your administration fee slip, ID, qualifications, CV and other supporting documents.

  3. 3

    Processing and verification

    Admissions verifies your documents and confirms funding availability with the SETA, employer or bursary fund.

  4. 4

    Conditional offer

    Where a condition still has to be met (outstanding document, selection interview or balance payment) a conditional offer is issued.

  5. 5

    Approved or declined

    You receive a written outcome. Approved applicants receive their funding breakdown and any balance payable.

  6. 6

    Balance settled and enrolment

    Partially funded and bursary students pay the outstanding balance, upload proof of payment and are enrolled.

The non-refundable administration and application handling fee of R250 is compulsory, but you can pay it and upload your slip later. Nothing has to be attached now — submit the form and add your documents any time using your reference number. PDF, JPG or PNG, max 15MB each.

Paying an outstanding balance

Where a place is partially funded or covered by a bursary, the remaining balance is payable by the learner, their employer or a sponsor. Instalment arrangements can be requested in writing before enrolment.
